Our team of registered nurses at SN Training is highly qualified to conduct comprehensive training sessions customised for the community and disability sectors. Additionally, we are proud of being accredited as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) by the Australian Skills Quality Authority.

 

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
    Our first aid course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to manage emergencies confidently and provide a first aid response to a casualty. It is suitable for people in workplaces and members of the public who want first-aid training.

  • HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely
    Our Manual Handling course develops nurses, student nurses, and support workers’ skills and knowledge to perform manual handling tasks safely in the disability sector. You will gain confidence using working hoists, hospital beds and slide sheets.

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    Our CPR course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a casualty who is unconscious and not breathing normally, aligning with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR on an adult, child and infant, and describe alternative methods for delivering rescue breaths.

 

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: Day Course – $130.00

  • HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely: Day Course – $130.00

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Half-day Course – $60.00

 

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: ~16.5 hours, comprised of 8 hours pre-online learning + 8 hours in class.

  • HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely: ~7 hours, comprised of 1 hour online learning + 7 hours in class.

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: ~5 hours, comprised of 2 hours pre-online learning + 3 hours in class.

 

  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: 3 years

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: 1 year

  • HLTWHS005 – Conduct Manual Tasks Safely: It is recommended that you refresh your skills and knowledge in manual handling every two years.

The course covers the knowledge and performance criteria in accordance with the relevant Unit of Competency and Assessment Requirements, as outlined on training.gov.au.

  • Knowledge Assessment: Before attending the course, learners will receive a link to complete mandatory online learning and answer a knowledge quiz at their own pace. This must be completed prior to the practical session unless there are exceptional circumstances. If you need support with digital literacy, contact our Learner Support Officer.

  • Practical Sessions: The practical session includes demonstrations, practice, skills assessments, and the application of knowledge gained during the online learning.

Each unit of competency includes an online component that must be completed prior to attending the course, along with an online knowledge assessment. On the training day, the session will be trainer-led and conducted in either a half-day or full-day format, depending on the specific course.

  • SN Training requires learners to present valid photo ID before commencing the course.

  • Each accredited unit of competency requires a specific level of physical ability to meet assessment evidence requirements. A statement of attainment will not be issued to learners who are physically unable to meet required standards.

  • Learners must attend in comfortable appropriate clothing with closed-in shoes. All equipment and consumables are supplied as part of the course.

Yes. Our Statements of Attainment will be recognised anywhere in Australia. SN Training is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation (No. 46264).

Yes. Our qualified trainers can come to your workplace or home to deliver group first-aid and CPR training sessions at a time that suits you and your colleagues. Additionally, our training can be customised to address specific health and safety concerns relevant to your circumstances. Group manual handling courses are only offered at our training facility.

All courses are held at our main office in Osborne Park 6017.

Fees are payable when a learner receives a confirmation of enrolment. Initial payment must be made before commencing training. SN Training may discontinue training if fees are not paid as required.

You can pay for your course online with a Visa or Mastercard.

Your Statement of Attainment (PDF) will be emailed on the same day you successfully complete your course. You must have paid in full and provided your valid USI to obtain it.

  • To create a USI: Provide personal details, answer a few security questions.

  • To access your existing USI: Use the “Find your USI” option with your details.
    Keep your USI safe; it stays with you for life and allows you to access your training records. If you encounter any issues, contact admin@sntraining.com.au

Yes. A person with a disability may attend. Regulations require learners to perform specific activities to attain full certification. If these activities are not performed, a Statement of Attendance will be issued. For example:

  • For CPR, being able to kneel on the floor and perform manual handling tasks.

  • For manual handling, perform at least three different tasks.

Yes. SN Training can come to your workplace and deliver customised training to your organisation. Minimum of 8 people required. Contact admin@sntraining.com.au

SN Training is committed to providing a fair and transparent complaints and appeals process, including access to an independent external body if required. To make a complaint or appeal:

  • Use the Complaint Form: SN Training – Complaints Handling

  • Use the Request for Appeal of a Decision form.

  • If you cancel 10 business days or more before the commencement date → full refund.

  • Cancel 9 business days or less → entitled to 75% refund (25% retained to cover staff/resources committed).

  • No refund once training has commenced.

  • If you purchased workbook/text and later cancel → no refund.

  • Refunds are not transferable to another person.

  • Transfer requests must be in writing 10 working days or more before the scheduled commencement date.

  • One free transfer allowed (if notified properly), subsequent transfers incur $55 administration charge (incl. GST).

Yes. You are entitled to access your records which include:

  • Learner file

  • Learning and assessment records

  • Administrative records

  • AQF certificates, including re-issuing of a Statement of Attainment or Qualification previously issued.

Yes. SN Training recognises that some learners may need extra support. They offer:

  • Consultations with Trainers/Assessors

  • IT support for navigating learning system

  • Learning materials in large print

  • Reasonable adjustments during assessments

  • Language, literacy, numeracy support
